Formerly known as Wimmera Community Care, the agency commenced in 1981 when Wimmera Family Group Homes amalgamated with Wimmera Emergency Housing. In 2001, the agency became know as Wimmera UnitingCare.

Today, we are the fourth largest community service agency in Victoria and are part of the Uniting Church Network in Victoria and Tasmania. Wimmera UnitingCare employs more than 320 staff and is supported by over 564 volunteers. We help more than 7,000 people each year in the Wimmera region by providing 70 plus programmes and activities in children, youth and family services, disability, aged care, housing and finances.

Our mission and purpose is to 'Support and Strengthen Personal, Family and Community Life throughout the Wimmera'.

As an agency, Wimmera UnitingCare aims to identify unmet needs and gaps in the service provision in the region and seeks government, trust and church funding to address these needs. We provide confidential services across the municipalities of Hindmarsh, Horsham Rural City, Northern Grampians, West Wimmera and Yarriambiack, with some services also provided in Ararat Rural City and the Donald/Birchip area of the Buloke Shire.

The organisation is also a direct service provider of programs for a number of Victorian Government departments in particular the Department of Human Services, and primarily for the Family and Community Services Department of the Commonwealth Government.

Wimmera UnitingCare has offices in Horsham and Stawell.
